When you visit our website, we may automatically collect device and browser information (browser type, operating system, screen resolution, IP address); usage data (pages visited, time spent on site, links clicked, referring URLs); and cookie identifiers and similar tracking data as described in Section 6 below.

1.3 Information from Third-Party Platforms
If you interact with Prepworks through third-party platforms (such as YouTube, scheduling tools, or payment processors), those platforms may share certain information with us in accordance with their own privacy policies. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party platforms you use.

2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to deliver the services you have purchased or requested, including essay review, strategy calls, and admissions consulting; schedule, coordinate, and manage consulting calls and written deliverables; communicate with you about your services, scheduling, deliverables, and account status; process payments and maintain financial records consistent with our obligations as a general partnership under New York law; maintain accurate business records as required by our partnership structure and applicable law; improve our website, educational tools, and service offerings; send marketing or informational communications, only where you have opted in or where otherwise permitted by applicable law; and comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

We will not use your personal information for purposes materially different from those described above without providing you notice and, where required by law, obtaining your consent.

3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share information in the following limited circumstances: (a) With Partners and contractors of Prepworks Education who need access to your information solely to deliver the services you have purchased. All such individuals are bound by confidentiality obligations. (b) With third-party service providers (such as payment processors, scheduling platforms, and email delivery services) that assist in operating our business. These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes beyond what is necessary to provide the service. (c) With legal authorities or regulatory bodies if required by applicable law, court order, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Prepworks Education, its Partners, or others. (d) In connection with a business transfer, merger, dissolution, or acquisition of the Partnership, in which case we will notify affected individuals and require any successor to honor this Privacy Policy or provide notice of changes.

We do not share your essay materials or personal application information with colleges, universities, or any third parties for marketing, profiling, or admissions-related purposes.

4. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as is reasonably necessary to fulfill the following purposes: delivering services you have purchased; maintaining accurate financial and business records consistent with our partnership obligations under New York law and applicable tax requirements (financial records are retained for a minimum of seven years from the date of transaction); resolving disputes and enforcing our agreements; and complying with applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
Essay materials and application documents you share with us are retained for up to twelve (12) months following completion of services, unless a longer retention period is required by law or requested by you. After this period, submitted materials will be deleted or de-identified.

You may request deletion of your submitted materials at any time by contacting us in writing at the address provided in Section 12 below. We will comply with such requests within ninety (90) days, subject to any legal obligations we may have to retain certain records.

Our services are available to high school students, many of whom are under the age of 18. We take the privacy of minors seriously and have implemented the following protections:

5.1 Children Under 13
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without verifiable parental or guardian consent, in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under age 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately at hello@prepworkseducation.org. We will promptly investigate and, if confirmed, promptly delete the information.

5.2 Students Ages 13 to 17
For students between the ages of 13 and 17, we collect and process personal information only with the knowledge and consent of a parent or legal guardian as demonstrated by the parent or guardian's purchase of services or agreement to our Terms of Service on the student's behalf. We limit data collection for minors to what is reasonably necessary to deliver the purchased services.

5.3 Parental Rights
Parents and guardians of minor students may, at any time, request access to the personal information we hold about their child; request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information; request deletion of their child's personal information, subject to legal retention obligations; or withdraw consent for further collection or use of their child's information. This may take time, i.e., up to ninety (90) days. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address provided in Section 12 below.
