Prepworks Education was founded in May 2023 by two high schoolers in Rochester, NY. We are dedicated to providing qualified aid to students through resources, guidance, and tutors. Our mission is to go beyond academics, empowering you to embrace challenges and achieve your potential. We aim to increase learning retention and reinforce skills taught in the classroom for the next generation.
John Luger
President & Co-Founder
John hails from Rochester, NY and is a junior at Brighton High School. Outside of Prepworks, he runs several clubs at his school and also helped create Brailliance, an affordable Braille reader. He is particularly interested in the intersection of economics and engineering. In his (sadly limited) free time, John enjoys watching The Office and playing bullet chess.
Jonathan Harrow
Vice President
Jonathan is a senior at Brighton High School. He has multifaceted interests including piano, basketball, math, economics, and reading. Jonathan has diverse teaching experiences ranging from SAT prep to piano lessons. He is looking forward to attending Cornell's College of Arts and Sciences next fall as a double major in mathematics and economics.
Jack He
Head of C.S. Content Creation
Jack resides in Massachusetts as a senior at Brookline High School. His experience spans Arduino development, biomedical research, and middle school tutoring. Jack also enjoys fencing and sharing his work (and occasional gaming) on Twitch. He is eager to further his studies and explore new opportunities at Boston University’s College of Arts and Science this fall.
Darren Lin
Vice President & Co-Founder
Darren is also a junior at Brighton High School. He has run several digital marketing agencies and has developed a keen interest in finance, inspired by his work at his family's restaurant. Looking ahead, he aspires to create a large-scale venture that will make a significant impact on the world. In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis and exploring philosophy.
Graham Yu
Chief Financial Officer
Graham also is a senior at Brighton High School. He plays varsity soccer and coaches students with disabilities. Graham did research at a laser lab over his senior summer and volunteers as an SAT tutor while not making Prepworks videos. He is looking forward to attending Boston College this fall, where he plans to complete a double major in mathematics and finance.
