We offer brainstorming, reviewing, and editing for all types of college essays - supplemental pieces, personal essays, etc. Our advisors have years of experience editing; moreover, all essays will be viewed and edited by at least two Prepworks employees. Check out our process at the bottom of this page.

A limited number of students are accepted to our advising programs each year.

Email johnlug@mit.edu to design your own package. We'll keep pricing low (95% lower than the average college admissions firm!). Our goal isn't to make money, but we do need a sustainable business model.

Pre-Built Packages

Our Process

1) You'll have to email johnlug@mit.edu or prepworkstutor@gmail.com to begin. Payment details will be sent after you sign up. We'll follow through with a brainstorming process to start your essays if you haven't already. 

2) When you're ready, you'll upload your first draft to a Google Drive.

3) One essay advisor will edit for the content and storyline of your essay. You'll receive detailed feedback within two days.

4) You'll fix your essay and we'll continue to cycle between the first advisor to tweak the storyline as necessary.

5) A second advisor will edit for grammatical issues and word count. You'll receive feedback within one day.

6) You'll review the final product, and we'll give it our stamp of approval. Then, we'll repeat for the other essays!

You might notice that our essay editing payment plan renews on a monthly basis. We don't anticipate any editing taking longer than a month, so if you require more time, Prepworks staff will contact you to discuss either (a) a discounted rate, or (b) a no-extra-cost plan.
